☀️ if you only have 40% to give today, and you give all 40%, you gave 100%.

Behind the scenes DRAMA: Last Friday I was supposed to do my first ever public webinar.…..aaaand I got the flu. Bad.

As in 24hrs before I had no voice at all.

Like a true theater kid, my instinct was:
- rally harder
- fake it
- over-compensate

What I didn’t expect…
was to cry.
On screen.
Like, actually cry. 😳

Somewhere in the middle of teaching, I got overwhelmed by all the tiny squares of women on the zoom screen. Everyone showed up for different reasons, but the common-feeling that empathy-washed over me was the same one I hear all the time:

"Is it always going to feel this hard?"

So when I got into the message: "No, it doesn’t have to." ...I actually rallied. The energy came on its own. It felt so deeply genuine.

When it was over, I felt proud. Because I showed up with what I had.

So here’s your Monday reminder:

If you only have 40% to give today, and you give all 40%, you gave 100%.

Just need to show up with the percentage you’ve got.
That’s enough.

Monday Motivator by Katie Day

After hitting rock bottom, I've embarked on a radical journey. For one year, I'm taking a break from all cynicsm and trying out some crazy self-improvement experiments (so you don't have to.)
